Victory Baptist Church in Thomasville, Georgia, was founded in 1987 under the guidance and vision of Pastor Holland, who felt led by God to establish a place of worship. Beginning with a small group of local families, the church held its first service in a rented house on North Crawford Street. From the start, the church was committed to gospel outreach, supporting missionaries around the world and focusing on community ministry, including a bus ministry for children and families.

In 1988, the church relocated to the former Rose City Christian School building on North Pinetree Boulevard, transforming the gymnasium into a sanctuary and completing renovations on other parts of the property, including the Esther Fellowship Hall and a new Youth Center & Gymnasium.

For 37 years, Pastor Holland provided faithful leadership, guiding the church through growth, challenges, and outreach. His commitment to biblical teaching, discipleship, and community has shaped the church’s strong legacy. In January 2025, Pastor Holland transitioned to Pastor Emeritus, passing the leadership baton to Keith Smith, who had been serving as Assistant Pastor.

As the church continues to grow and fulfill its mission, members are invited to join in writing the next chapter of the church’s story, working together in service to Christ.
